Almost here!

Our very first class at Feeling Scrappy starts this coming Monday and runs for a full month! I am super excited - we have a great group of ladies signed up to take the class and the design samples that the team has come up with are out of this world! You will learn many new techniques for using up that ribbon stash, make new friends, and find fun inspiration to get those pages done. Take a peak here http://www.feelingscrappy.com/class_details.html to find out more details!

Memorial Day Weekend

We drove to NW Indiana to visit family over the long weekend and had a great time! We shopped at the Michigan City mail, ate our favorite pizza at the "Old Mill", had Pepe's with our best friends Judy and Todd, had a BBQ with the whole Jones family and even got to go to the beach to play and watch the sunset! Hope your weekend was as enjoyable :)

A few layouts

Here are just a few of the 12 layouts I finished last weekend when I went to Chicago to scrapbook with some dear friends. We had a great time! If you have never planned a weekend scrap get-a-way then I highly recommend it :)

Fun Stuff!

Just wanted to share two things that made me happy today :)

First thing this morning when catching up on my blog reading I read something that made my day on Stacey Kocur's blog. You see there is this nifty little pen that I have been just loving for about six months now - the Uniball Signo white pen - it is perfect for journaling on dark pages - smooth and bright white! BUT I have looked all over for another one locally to no avail. Stacey to the rescue! She found a place on line that sells them in five packs with free shipping! Woo-hoo! Check it out: http://www.jpens.com/product_info.php?products_id=448

The second thing I want to share is Google Reader! My friend Suzanne told me about it and since I have been using it I love it! It makes it super easy to keep up with all your favorite blogs in one place! How cool is that?! Super easy to set up an account too! Check it out here: www.google.com/reader

Summer break is almost here.

I volunteered at the school today and helped my daughter's class clean out their desks. They only have 7 more days of school left! ::faint!:: Wasn't it just Christmas? Part of me is looking forward to a less scheduled life and no homework BUT the other half of me is shaking in my boots. A whole three months to entertain and referee my three hooligans. It will be interesting to say the least. :)

Happy Mother's Day!

I sure hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Mother's Day! We spent the day at the zoo then Don made a yummy steak dinner on the grill. Just thought I would share this picture of my mom and three kids taken at her house in Florida last summer. Love you mom! :)

Beautiful Day

Wow - now this is my kind of weather. Low 80s - blue skies - beautiful! Took the kids to the park and got more pictures like the one in the layout above. Go outside and enjoy this spring weather! :)

How about a new sketch?

I did this sketch for a challenge on Feeling Scrappy! For my take on it I used photos from Greece with Daisy D and Bazzill paper along with some rick-rack and ink. A super easy and fast page!

Feeling Scrappy Classes!

A couple of people have asked me for a little more information on how our classes will run so I thought I would share it here for all of you.

All Feeling Scrappy classes are held on-line through our special Feeling Scrappy Class Forum. It is a private message board where you can share your layouts, discuss the techniques, ask questions and share information with instructors and other students. Part of the fun is sharing the experience and hanging out with like-minded women while you learn! Classes run for a full four weeks!

Each week students will be treated to a combination of challenges and "technique classes" (which are more difficult and require written instructions as well as photographs and samples.) Every weekend (on varying days and times) during the class we will hold "Scrappy Hour" This is an optional "extra credit" time to have even more fun! Each one will have a special timed scrapping challenge and a fast paced game or two. Prizes will be awarded during every Scrappy Hour and who doesn't love that?! On our last weekend together, we will hold a Graduation Party on the forum complete with awards and more prizes. Hope this gives you a little peak into Feeling Scrappy Classes.

Our first class "All Tied Up!" starts June 4th. For more details about this and to see the other classes on the schedule just visit http://www.feelingscrappy.com/ and click on "Class Details" :)
