Happy day :)

Today is the one year anniversary of starting my journey with Weight Watchers. When they asked me my goal weight the 1st day I went in - I didn't give them one instead I said my goal was to stick with the program and be here in one year. If I lose weight as a result great but I didn't want it to be about a number. Soooo here I am one year later and 48 pounds lighter!! I did it!

I am not "done" with this journey - in fact I never will be. I have set new goals and am sure I can achieve them. What a great feeling! :)

“The Creative Team was fantastic. They all took the time to provide feedback to everyone of us, which is really great and their samples were amazing!” - - Jennifer W.

“Thanks so much for this class! I’m a lonely scrapbooker here and it really helps me feel connected with others who love scrapbooking as much as I do! This class was tons of fun and I hope I can take more classes with Feeling Scrappy!” - - Carrie D.

“Loved it all!!!” - - Denise O.

“You have done a wonderful job with this! I thing I loved the most about the class was learning all the new techniques that without this class, I would have never known. Thank You!!” - - Laura M.

I just loved this class – it gave me just the push I needed to try some new techniques in my scrapbooks. Honestly, I had fallen into a rut of borders down the side and a title up-top. You have made me love creating pages again! Thanks! - - Marcy G.

Back to School!

Well - it is official! School started bright and early this morning. I am sad that summer went by so fast and I will miss the kids but there is certainly a little excitement and "buzz" in the air about a new school year. :)

Jacob (7th grade) had mixed emotions about going back but also a pretty positive attitude about trying his best. "School is school mom but the first day is always a little exciting."

Sam was so extremely excited he could hardly wait. He started 5th grade this year at the middle school (which is 5th through 8th here) and he was thrilled about switching classes, having a locker combo etc...plus he gets to ride the bus home from school with Jacob. Happy boy!
Abbie was also happy about school starting and said she was ready. She is in 4th grade and the only one of the three at the elementary school still. (I think she was a little sad that Sam was not there with her this year.) But regardless she left the car with a smile and a spring in her step.

Can't wait for them to get home to tell me all about their first day :)

Ah-choo!

This box has been my constant companion over the last couple of days. Ugh! Straight from strep throat to a massive head cold. Just today I am starting to feel a bit more human so I am hoping to start off the week on a good note.

The kids start school on Monday - 7th, 5th and 4th grade. They are all pretty excited which is great! The start of school is always a little bitter sweet for me. I will miss them and our fun lazy summer days but it will be nice to have some time to myself during the day too.

More to share :)

This layout was made for a Feeling Scrappy challenge for my Book of Me. I must have a clean sink and the dishes go in the dishwasher - just so! :)

This layout I made for a round robin I am participating in on Feeling Scrappy - my friend Peggy went first and this is what I followed up with. I really like how it turned out mostly because of what it means to me.

Looking for some fun topics to scrap? You really should take time to check out all of the great challenges we have going at Feeling Scrappy! The team is really awesome and they always come up with some fun unusual topics. Go to http://www.feelingscrappy.com/ then click on message board. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

We love the Olympics!

Wow - the kids and I just finished watching the opening ceremonies. It was a fantastic sight to see and I am glad they experienced it with me. There is nothing like seeing people from all over the world joined together for one purpose! We are looking forward to watching the games over the next few weeks and sharing- just for awhile- the pride, pain, happiness, sadness, and joy of these amazing athletes.

Baby its HOT outside!

It has "cooled off" to about 86 degrees today but for the past week it has been in the high 90's. Whew! Don came home from Virginia this past weekend and we were so happy to see him!! (Unfortunately I had strep throat and wasn't feeling well most of his visit but the kids really got some quality time with Dad!) They spent many hours in the pool together playing and staying cool!

We just finished our Paper Possibilities class on Feeling Scrappy which was so fun (thanks to our great creative team and all the wonderful ladies that took the class!) The Creative Team is gearing up for our next offering - "Sew Scrappy: A Notions Class" starting September 2nd! I am super excited to be working with so many fun, unusual things for this class that is sure to breath new life into my scrapping!

I have a few recent layouts to share with you today. It was so much fun to do this 1st page just days after taking the photos!! This working "out of order" is going to be SO much better - much more liberating - I love it!

Just finishing up my pictures from 2007 on these next two layouts. Thanks for looking :o)
