One single "fa-fa"
Don was cleaning out the garage the other day and he came in with this "Look what I found." One of the kid's old pacifiers. I can not even tell you the emotion this one little "fa-fa" (what Sam and Abbie both called them) sent through me. One on hand - relief that I don't have babies anymore and all the things that go with that. On the other hand - a deep longing to hold MY babies one more time.
I could not bring myself to get rid of this last fa-fa, so it will sit right where I can see it in my scraproom. I hope that it will remind me to treasure each day because time will keep marching past and I want to enjoy the ride!

Treasure
Here is a layout I finished today. Jacob loves to explore and dig around in nature. He loves all things slimy. While we were visiting in Florida he found what he considered to be treasures - snail shells! Abbie and Sam thought they were pretty cool too!

Remember when?
This weekend Abbie and Sam begged for Burger King (we rarely go there - I hate the place) but we agreed and Don took them in to get some lunch to bring home. When they walked out wearing those crowns - my heart caught. I remember being little and getting the crown and thinking it was so fun! I took this picture because I know my babies are growing up and will soon be "to cool" to wear the crown but for today I will enjoy the fact that they are still young enough to enjoy the simple things that make kids kids. Love them so much!!

Off to Camp
Jacob (Our 11 year old) is off to camp. We just dropped him off for a week long camp. I have to admit this was Don's idea and I was nervous to send my little guy off BUT I also admit that after seeing the camp and seeing Jacob engrossed in conversation with a boy about Muskie (he went to a speciality fishing camp!) I felt much better leaving him. I hope he has the time of his life this week!! How exciting to be young and be on your first adventure all on your own! We pick him up next Saturday and I am anxious to here how it all went!
It will be nice to spend some time alone with my younger two and I also hope to scrap some this week. Plus our first class at Feeling Scrappy starts tomorrow so I have a fun week ahead and I am super excited about that. :)
