Altered Canvas

Last Sunday I spent 3 hours getting messy. I have had this blank white canvas (16 x 20) staring at me for about 4 months now and as crazy as it sounds I was afraid to start. What was I waiting for? Enough was enough! So I spread out some newspaper, got out my paints, glimmer mist, mod podge and ink and went to work on my canvas. Once I started that was all it took - I felt so relaxed while I was working and I love the finish product! Not sure where I will hang it but it is not white anymore...

Cards

I spent a good part of the day today getting things ready for Feeling Scrappy's next class (Sketchapaloooza 3!) and I thought it would be fun to share a few of the cards I made in our last class all using Stacey's sketches. (Be sure to check the Feeling Scrappy blog tomorrow for one of Stacey's card sketches!) I was thrilled with the Year of Cheer class and so happy to have a nice stash of cards all ready to go!

From Mess to Success

I am just finishing up getting the insides of my new binder together today. (So excited about the system and think it will work well for me!) Here is how the outside and dividers turned out :)

Don't toss old clothes!

I made the following layout and card with my son's old shirt and a pair of jeans. Old clothes can make really cute accents on your pages :) Plus I saved the buttons from the shirt for a future layout and I have plenty of fabric left to do some more creating!

Looks like the new blog name is a keeper - for now anyhow - thanks for your advice!

Couple of quick cards

I was in the mood for summer - guess that came through in my paper choices :) The first card is based on a sketch I got from Linne cards and the second card is based on a sketch by Stacey Lokovic for a Feeling Scrappy challenge. I will post a small give away sometime soon!

Here are some of the cards I made during the Noteworthy Monograms Class at Feeling Scrappy. I love how they came out! Our next class "Sketch-apalooza" starts in one week! Woo-hoo!

Altered Box for Cards

Here is an old priorty box that I altered during the "Noteworthy Monograms Class" taught by Stacey on Feeling Scrappy. I just love how it came out :) I will post some of the cards I made to go in it this week. I am so happy I made this - I think it will make a great gift set!

Scrappy Gifts?

I love scrapbooking as I know many of you that read here do to. I also love to give scrappy gifts - the question I ask you is this: are they appreciated by non-scrappers? I always wonder about it when I give a homemade gift. Do they like it as much as they say they do or are they just being nice? I made the frame above for my mom for Mother's day and put a picture of the kids inside. So what do you think - nice gift or not?
