We are leaving tomorrow morning bright and early for a family beach vacation! I will have some pictures to share when we get home and I hope to see many beautiful sunsets like the one above. (Taken on our trip in April 07) Don't forget that there is still time to join us at Feeling Scrappy for our "Sketch with a Twist" class! See details in the post below this one or on our main website! Hope everyone has a great week! :o)

Getting Sketchy!
We are gearing up for our next class at Feeling Scrappy and I am super excited about this one! I love using sketches when I scrapbook - they make for easy and beautiful pages. Our "Sketching with a Twist" class is designed to teach you to think outside the box when using sketches and how to make them your own! You will be provided with many sketches, but more importantly you will be taught to use them (and other things!)in new ways. We already have a great group of ladies taking this 4 week course and I encourage you to join us. This class is suitable for traditional or digital scrapbookers of any level.
Just visit www.feelingscrappy.com for more details or to sign up. You technically have until August 5th to register for the class but I hope you will join us earlier so you will have some time in the private class forum to hang out with your classmates before we begin! :o) Hope to see you there!

Triplets?
Over the years I have been asked many times by strangers in stores if my kids are triplets. Recently, this has increased 10 fold - it seems every time I go out with the three of them that people will ask me that. I, look at them as if they must be crazy and explain that they are 12, almost 10 and almost 9.
As I was looking through photos to order, this one from the 4th of July caught my eye. They are all three very close in height and weight and they do have a strong family resemblance plus they are close and affectionate (well when they are not trying to kill one another!) and often walk with their arms interlocked.
I guess I can see why people would think that they are triplets...but I for one am glad it is not true! I don't think I could have handled all three at once! :)
On other note: don't forget about Suzanne's RAK - those clear stamps are super cute and you have until the 31st! (See the post below this one for all the details!)

Clear Stamps RAK!!
Click on image to see it larger :o)
My friend Suzanne is these great kitchen stamps away on her blog! Check it out at: http://oscrappyday.blogspot.com/ plus you will find out about a really fun challenge we have going on over at Feeling Scrappy! Here is the layout I completed for the Kitchen Keepsakes challenge this month:A book of us!
This layout is the first of many I have planned for this special scrapbook. I have been wanting to start a "Book of Us" scrapbook for a long time and decide no time like the present! Unlike a regular family album that covers events - you know holidays, birthdays, tips to the zoo etc...and records things you do, the purpose of this book is to record who we are as a family. Just random layouts about our life in our unique family. I am excited to add this to our monthly challenges on the Feeling Scrappy message board. Come on over and join us! The more the merrier! :)

Scrappy Gifts?
I love scrapbooking as I know many of you that read here do to. I also love to give scrappy gifts - the question I ask you is this: are they appreciated by non-scrappers? I always wonder about it when I give a homemade gift. Do they like it as much as they say they do or are they just being nice? I made the frame above for my mom for Mother's day and put a picture of the kids inside. So what do you think - nice gift or not?

Almost finished!
Here is another layout for our Greece album - not to much longer and I will be done. It has been a really fun project but I must admit I am getting tired of working with shades of blue!! :) We are heading to Indiana to celebrate the 4th with family then on to Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI with our dear friends - see you when we get home. Hope you have a safe and happy Independence Day!
