New Creative Team Search!

Feeling Scrappy, an exciting spot on the web that offers on-line classes for every level of scrapper, is searching for a few designers to join our creative team! We are seeking creative, fun, scrapbookers who have the ability to inspire and motivate others with their work to serve a six-month term starting November 1, 2007. No previous design team experience is required – we encourage all styles of scrappers to apply!

Pool Party

Sam had a sleep over this weekend with three of his friends. Add my three to the mix and it made for some craziness! The kids all had a great time playing together in the pool then later for movies and games. We are all dragging today from the late night but it was worth it! :)

Happy Birthday Sam!

My son, Sam, turned 10 this past weekend. He said it was his best birthday ever! My parents came into town to help us celebrate and we really did have a great time. We went to Dave and Busters (an arcade/bar) for lunch and games. Then we headed home to open some presents (he loved his new gameboy DS!) and relax then off to our favorite restaurant - The Melting Pot! It was a special day for all of us!

Some recent layouts

I went to an all day crop last Friday and was lucky to meet a few nice local ladies. I have really missed scrapping with friends and have had a hard time since moving to Omaha of finding ladies that love to scrapbook. Strange I know! Anyhow - hoping to find some local scrappy friends! Here are a few of the layouts I finished up this week. Hope you have a great holiday weekend!

Well the kids are off to school for another year. The backpacks are load with new supplies, they took extra care with their appearance and they were all excited for the 1st day - looking forward to seeing their friends, getting settled in class and of course lunch and recess. Everything went off without a hitch this morning and I think we are all looking forward to getting back into a routine. Every new year is so bitter sweet for me. Part of me is super excited to have a little more time to myself and because I know my kids are off on a new adventure but the other half is sad to see the summer come to an end and see my babies growing up. Guess every parent probably feels that way right?

A few layouts :)

Just thought I would share a few of my recent layouts. We have had a busy summer and I haven't been able to scrap nearly enough to suit me! The kids go back to school this Wednesday and I hope that will give me a bit more time to scrapbook! The layouts above were made for the Sketch With a Twist class we have going on at Feeling Scrappy. What a fun group of ladies we have taking the class!

School Supplies

I just love new school supplies! From the very 1st time I went school shopping for Kindergarten until today when I went school shopping for my kids, I have loved them. The box of never used brightly colored crayons, clean white sheets of paper and those wonderful un-marked notebooks just begging to be used! I decided that just because I am 42 doesn't mean I shouldn't have something I love so I got myself a few new school supplies too! Can't wait to color something in my new notebook! Only a week and a half before my children go back to school...where did the summer go?

Ahhhh...

Nothing like a week at the beach to sooth your soul. It is so calming and so beautiful - I wish everyone could experience it! We had beautiful weather while we were there - hot and sunny with a nice breeze from the gulf - just like it should be. Ahhhh.....
